Brown Mucus Discharge On Day Period Due

African windmill

Since I have been exactly an hour an account with howtopedia own I thought I this blog start with a repost of an entry I wrote back in March for my now stillgelgten dokuwiki-Blog:

essentially a book review of the book:
The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind (the guy who caught the wind)
Thanks to a tip in the literature mirror I've bought the book and read just after 3 hours. Since I am busy
web sites and blogs to read about and learn "how to continue." But the book:

William Kamkwamba told (with Co-Author Bryan Mealer ) his story. Raised on a farm in Malawi (Africa), he had to leave school at 14 because his parents were in debt because of a famine and had no school money. In the local library, he saw in an English book 1) the image of a wind turbine and rigged his own wind turbine out of scrap metal, gescholzenem plastic, wood and a bicycle dynamo. With the energy of the wind turbine could operate his family bulbs (and save money for Petroleum) and radio. Neighbors came to charge their cell phones. William built light switch from old shoes and a fuse. At his former school, he was invited to a wind turbine for the students to build. The wind turbine fell on school inspectors, in turn, made journalists attention. The newspaper reports were of bloggers (eg Hacktivate and AfriGadget ) disseminated and William (then 19) was a TED Conference (Ideas worth spreading) invited where he presented his project as follows:
'I wanted to build a windmill ... After i drop out from school, i went to a library and i read a book "using energy" i get information about windmill ... and i try and i made it '
is not only described the scene in his book they can also be seen on Youtube (which is especially after reading the book very moving):

William's life has since changed a lot, he received from friends a very good education donated, has an own blog (preferably chronological read on 2007) and as well as a Flickr Page and his life and his ideas are being filmed . A short film existed:

Unfortunately, it has its history in the documentary The 4th Revolution - Energy Independence done. William's ideas for the future in accordance with the objectives of energy autonomy, are very inspiring and listen not with wind turbines on - inspired by the many inventors, NGO activists and fellow students, he is currently considering about solar-powered steam generators for Africa and would like as soon as possible, a company set up the cheap, environmentally friendly regional produced (wind) energy for All Africa provides.

William's school will receive XO computer from One Laptop per Child Project (OLPC)

If he is successful it means nothing less than a Industrial Revolution for Africa ... in any Case, a welcome change from the stories about Africa that are otherwise reads .

I am particularly pleased that Williams former school OLPC_XO-1 laptops was equipped as he writes in his blog . In addition to its fascinating history makes one the book and the blog with a large number of highly interesting websites known
