Where Can You Buy Rembrandt White Stirps

30/11/2005: A Thanks to modern means of communication! After the idea of a suspension bridge myself increasingly busy, and we put on our follow-up meeting in Brotterode this matter is in the room, I felt that I would not let go of this idea. Moreover, it had already become the vision and took the contours of a project. I researched the internet such topics as "hanging bridge", "Bridge", "static" or "cable technique". There was also a tip from Tom Umbreit, "a kingdom but your own project. And so I took to e-mail contact with Aliona of GBT in Severobaikalsk.

Erinnerung an Khakusy 2005: Das Flüsschen nach dem Regen
memory of Khakusy 2005: The mouth of the river in the evening sun.
Your reply was cordial. She was happy to hear from me and found the idea of bridge very well. She also stressed that our Russian friends from the camp last year with enthusiasm on board again. Same time, it dampened my expectations with the following facts: The camps for 2006 had been requested. submit a new project is difficult. Furthermore, a camp will not be at the Lake Frolikha possible because there would be insurmountable disagreements with the management of the reserve. This was at first a disappointment to me.

However ensued a lively e-mail exchanges, as a result the following situation became clear:
Another project is feasible in principle, if the group can easily recruit, attend sufficient foreign volunteers and is created in advance a real engineering project. We looked at each other as possible. In addition, a place had to be found where the project was feasible and desirable. Come here now who have connections to the Marjasows Chakusy to.

Die Überquerung des angeschwollenen Flüsschens über den glitschigen Stamm war mit vollem Marschgepäck nicht ganz ungefährlich.
The crossing of the swollen river on the slippery trunk with full field pack was not completely harmless. It should now point to the bridge Aljonas statement.
Alyona wrote: you know the river, which is in question. During your trip to Chakusy in last year's camp did you have to cross it on risky way after a rain with full packs on a slippery log. The river is perhaps not as impressive as the "lower Frolikha", but a bridge would be of great value and is desired by the administration of the sanatorium-Chakusy much. My parents have good connections there and have discussed the matter with the leadership of Chakusy already.

After we had thus come to terms with the fact that the project can not be realized at Frolikha Lake, we started at the thought to like to build in the immediate vicinity of the hot springs of Chakusy the bridge. The advantages were obvious: less arduous to transport materials, support from the administration of Chakusy, relaxing in the hot springs and if the weather we should not be weighed, hiding in one of the cabins of the sanatorium. All in all not a bad situation.

matures An idea

11/30/2005: at the camp on the shores of the Bay Ajaja I have the best memories. We were a force in harmony, friendship and exuberance. The close proximity to nature was terrific. Back in Germany, I carried the memory of that time as a constant feeling of elation in me and always saw the landscape before me, who had experienced first hand. The company of exuberant youthful squad I missed often.

Erinnerung an das Camp 2005: Regina und ich am Frolicha-See.
memory of the camp 2005: Regina and I am Frolikha Lake.
The initial decision to make this trip as a unique experience behind us and next year to do something completely different, gradually yielded to the request, but again to go to Baikal, preferably back to the Ajaja.

This feeling was deepened by the follow-up meeting of the Baikal plan Brotterode. I reminded me of that day when Regina and I to Frolikha Lake have migrated in order to enjoy just a few hours on the banks of the lake, the nature and unwind. On the same day, made Helmut, and Andrew Oliver on a tour a bit more ambitious: They wanted to lower Frolikha, Frolikha the end of the lake, go further and that cross the northern shore of the lake walk.

The road from the bay to Ajaja Frolikha Lake fork, immediately before the western end of the lake. The path leads in a southerly direction, and be walked out near the shore to a point on the lake, which is very well suited as a storage place for larger groups. Next on the south shore is lost along the path.

Oliver, Helmut, and Andrew followed the northern branch. A few hundred yards of the road is still good. We even have cleaned it in the past few days here to a "Simovje," a ranger hut and made accessible. Next in North but they had to beat through the brush, because the trail was practically invisible. Erlengesträuch and cripple cedars grow very quickly in the bright space that offers an unused path and block it crosswise, like the lances of a palace guard, to say nothing of fallen trees throughout. About an hour passes before they hit the rocky bed of the lower Frolikha River. He is still a stately white-water, although it has not rained for weeks. The closer to the river they came was all the more clear: There is no way to wade lightly. It did not change after they have a due units were running along the River. Andrei tested again possible Watgänge or fords. Finally it happened: In a fresh attack to ford the river at a supposedly shallow spot, he slipped and involuntarily takes a bath. The jamboree is huge, but the project is declared failed. Finally, one must also cross the river on the way back again and wanted to do that to you on a relaxed day trip yet. So they stayed a while on the river and then came back.

this experience, I know only from the descriptions of the three. But it made me realize several things.
First: I myself have the "lower Frolikha" not seen what me a bit sad right. But what is not, may be yet.
Second: This river is a multiple challenge, even for those who migrate from the north along the Baikal and the other for those who wanted the transmutor Frolikha Lake north. Both from the perspective of the Great Baikal Trail "most attractive routes. Thirdly, however, for me personally: To create a link across the river, allowing the walkers a safe passage and yet so appealing looks like the landscape itself, in which it embeds itself: a suspension bridge.

Price Lighterlife Plan

New plans in the fall

5:11:05: In our Return home before long, since once again came the desire for adventure. Originally it was said: Next year we do something completely different. But then came the invitation of the Baikal Plan allherbstlichen After meeting the German GBT camp participants in Brotterode and the subject of "Baikal" was present again.

Brotterode: Wanderung zum großen Inselsberg (hinter mir läuft Andrej Suknew vom GBT den Weg hinauf) Brotterode: Hike to the big island mountain (behind me is Andrej Suknew of GBT up by the way). Brotterode: Viele Teilnehmer aus Deutschland, Österreich der Schweiz und Liechtenstein sind gekommen. Brotterode: Many participants from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein have come. Brotterode: Zum Ende der Wanderung kam sogar die Sonne heraus.
Brotterode: At the end of the hike was even out the sun.
The meeting took place in a hostel right on the big island Rennsteig below the mountain instead. The process was intended by the Baikal planners as follows:
Friday (4.Nov '05) was travel and informal gathering in restaurant.
Saturday after breakfast should be a short hike on the big island mountain. On the evening in the restaurant one evening lecture was planned, in which various participants were able to report on their camps.
On Sunday was the individual scheduled departure.

few days before the meeting called me and Tom had a request. Andrej Suknew, the founder of GBT is in Kiel for a training course and would take the opportunity at the meeting in addition Brotterode happen. It was easier for him to come to Bremen and then go with us into Thuringia. This is what we would do, of course, we assured Tom and then entered into contact with Andrej. We clarified when his train would arrive in Bremen on Friday and so I got it from the Bremer Hauptbahnhof.

first I took him in my old Vauxhall Omega for Avis car rental to where a Miles & More bonus - redeem - a rental car-weekend. I hoped it, fuel-efficient to complete the ride and in a more modern car. It was a Seat Toledo. We then drove to Achim, to pick up Regina and fell at the Bremer Kreuz promptly in a traffic jam. Regina

After we picked up in our home had it but then traffic jams and quickly on the German autobahn in the direction of Thuringia. In Brotterode we were not the first, but Tom was not there. But we could also clarify the room for Andrej question, and thus gradually wobbled other participants and the Baikal-board a plan. The social evening took its course. We finally got some "celebrities" from the MDR report to know about the GBT, such as the Walter family. We especially were pleased, of course, about the reunion with the participants of our camp, especially with Oliver. Helmut we even brought from the station by car from.

This started already forging plans. These ideas are accompanied in addition to the memories of our camp all weekend, in the evenings and during the walk. Tom also got with our scraped Planspielchen and recommended that it file a separate project. Andrei also encouraged us. However, I heard him out at the request and the recommendation, but sometimes a camp on the South Baikal, moving from Irkutsk or Ulan-Ude in to be considered.

We naturally wanted to return to Ajaja Bay. What we missed at the Camp 2005 was the provision of infrastructure such as bridges and rest areas. We had basically the Trail of bushes free and we chopped through the forest. Therefore, we wanted a more creative role.

So passed a very exciting and revealing weekend and we parted with a sense of inspiration and drive
