Here is a link to an innovative design: creative individual houses, built from recycled materials with its own independent power and water supply. A step in the right direction! But see for yourself: http://earthship.com/aboutus
water means life. But according to latest studies, more than 30% of people suffer from the consequences of water scarcity. Every day 4,000 children worldwide die from diseases caused by water pollution. The situation is aggravated by the privatization of natural water sources by major companies on. In many parts of the world uncontaminated water is now a rare privilege - with fatal consequences for humans. A film worth seeing this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5363369381678420361 #
Thanks weekly video review of Telepolis I became aware of the music video "Office Telephone" (a parody on "Telephone" ). Background: "Telephone" gained attention because it is very expensive and produced mainly through product-placement advertising funded. The parody "Office Telephone" by the pantless knights " contrast, according to the description a gift the founder of Quad Company of his friends. The company is engaged in, appropriately, with "Office Games' - games that you play in the office.
What I suggest you Office Space (1999) to look at (German title: Office Space).
Conclusion: the parody I like much better than the original!
I like to travel on foot at the Danube channel, which has the nice effect that I always find interesting photo opportunities.
Or a saxophone player listening to, like this under the Salztorbrücke in Vienna (near Schottenring):
have Very impressed me the graffiti, which unfortunately are very short-lived and will soon be painted over . A slogan sprayed on the Danube Canal had me as a Young people the incentive to do community service. Live in such critical works since I am no longer met, but some I find quite impressive. It would be unfortunate if these works fall into oblivion. Is there really a museum for street art?

Finally, I am always on people with cool T-shirts:
Since I have been exactly an hour an account with howtopedia own I thought I this blog start with a repost of an entry I wrote back in March for my now stillgelgten dokuwiki-Blog:
Thanks to a tip in the literature mirror I've bought the book and read just after 3 hours. Since I am busy web sites and blogs to read about and learn "how to continue." But the book:
William Kamkwamba told (with Co-Author Bryan Mealer ) his story. Raised on a farm in Malawi (Africa), he had to leave school at 14 because his parents were in debt because of a famine and had no school money. In the local library, he saw in an English book 1) the image of a wind turbine and rigged his own wind turbine out of scrap metal, gescholzenem plastic, wood and a bicycle dynamo. With the energy of the wind turbine could operate his family bulbs (and save money for Petroleum) and radio. Neighbors came to charge their cell phones. William built light switch from old shoes and a fuse. At his former school, he was invited to a wind turbine for the students to build. The wind turbine fell on school inspectors, in turn, made journalists attention. The newspaper reports were of bloggers (eg Hacktivate and AfriGadget ) disseminated and William (then 19) was a TED Conference (Ideas worth spreading) invited where he presented his project as follows:
'I wanted to build a windmill ... After i drop out from school, i went to a library and i read a book "using energy" i get information about windmill ... and i try and i made it '
is not only described the scene in his book they can also be seen on Youtube (which is especially after reading the book very moving):
Unfortunately, it has its history in the documentary The 4th Revolution - Energy Independence done. William's ideas for the future in accordance with the objectives of energy autonomy, are very inspiring and listen not with wind turbines on - inspired by the many inventors, NGO activists and fellow students, he is currently considering about solar-powered steam generators for Africa and would like as soon as possible, a company set up the cheap, environmentally friendly regional produced (wind) energy for All Africa provides.
I am particularly pleased that Williams former school OLPC_XO-1 laptops was equipped as he writes in his blog . In addition to its fascinating history makes one the book and the blog with a large number of highly interesting websites known
